Sale report: Wed 13th January 2020 Antique & Interiors @ Penkridge

Posted on

The first online sale of 2021 proved popular with more bidders than normal registered online and prices across the board up on average. Our drive to improve the quality and quantity of catalogue photographs to cater for online viewing only seems to have been a hit, as was the offer to store items for free for clients who are unable to collect due to self-isolating, and has had a good uptake.

Our auction dates remain as advertised

We will be continuing to operate our auctions on a ‘click and collect’ basis, which is in line with the Government's new advice, issued on Monday 4th January. Professional valuations are also permitted and will continue, remotely where possible.

Bumper Winter Antique Auction sees hammer fall on vintage motorbike at £35,500

Catalogues don’t come mush more eclectic than that of our Thursday, 3rd December Winter Antique Sale. Covering all the sections one would expect in a classic Fine Art auction – and a whole lot more besides – the 800-lot catalogue included a collection of classic motorbikes, with the hammer falling at a sky-scraping £35,500 on a rare 1955 Vincent Series D Rapide Historic model.
