Next Monday, 28th September our Penkridge saleroom will play host to the online auction of a huge collection of Royal Doulton & Robert Harrop collectable ceramics – including a vast number of mainly Royal Doulton character jugs.
A sketch by the hand of Sir Barnes Neville Wallis, inventor of the legendary ‘Bouncing Bomb’ (of Dambusters fame) which changed the course of WWII, is expected to get bidders hot under the collar when it goes under the hammer next week.
Opportunities don’t come much rarer than this – we know that a maximum of 60 of these cars were produced, and it’s unknown how many of them survive. They certainly don’t come up for sale very often!

With online auctions now the ‘new normal’ and reaching an ever greater audience of bidders, we once again saw some exceptional performances in last week’s Antiques & Interiors sale at Wolverhampton Auction Rooms.
Last week we welcomed potential bidders back into the sale room for viewing by appointment on the Tuesday before the sale. With pre-booked sessions designed to enable social distancing and the sale room to be cleaned between viewings, sessions were well attended and ran smoothly.
