Wolverhampton Auction Rooms extends sale calendar in 2014

Posted on
Local auction house Cuttlestones has almost doubled the number of sales it will host in the coming year, with its Home and Garden auctions now set to take place fortnightly rather than on a monthly basis.
The move is a direct result of the sales’ growing popularity; as MD and Head Auctioneer, Ben Gamble, explains:
2013 has been a really successful year at Cuttlestones and, as we enter our third year of trading at Wolverhampton Auction Rooms it seems a natural progression to add further Home and Garden sales to the calendar. These are diverse auctions that cover everything from furniture to ceramics, silver, pictures, electrical goods and pretty much anything else you can imagine. They are now attracting a really strong following of trade and public bidders both in the room and online.
As we continue to attract more house clearance work in and around the West Midlands, we find ourselves in the great position of needing to increase the number of these sales we hold to move lots through the auction room.
In addition to the now fortnightly Home and Garden auctions, Wolverhampton Auction Rooms will once again host several Specialist Collectors’ Sales throughout the year; attracting an international audience of bidders as lots of interest to niche collector communities – including stamps, coins, militaria, sporting goods, toys, music memorabilia and more – go under the hammer.
Fortnightly Home and Garden sales and quarterly Fine Art auctions also take place at Cuttlestones’ Penkridge sale room, meaning that the auction house now boasts an impressive calendar of 53 auctions this year across the two venues.
