It seems the force is still strong among Star Wars collectors, with a pair of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi toys putting in a strong performance at Staffordshire auction house Cuttlestones’ recently.

Among the highlights was Lot 438, a Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Scout Walker Vehicle, complete with its original box, which marched its way to a hammer price of £100. Condition and originality remain key factors for collectors, and the presence of the original packaging helped ensure competitive bidding.

Even stronger results followed with Lot 439, a varied collection of boxed and carded Return of the Jedi toys, including the Hoth Rescue MTV-7, offered alongside a Star Trek Shuttlecraft Goddard mini playset. The eclectic grouping clearly appealed to sci-fi enthusiasts, with the lot achieving an impressive £550.

MD and head auctioneer, Ben Gamble, says:
“Vintage Star Wars collectables from the original trilogy continue to attract strong interest from bidders – and these lots were no exception. As early examples become more scarce, well-preserved toys from the late 1970s and 1980s are increasingly being viewed as serious collectables rather than playthings.”

Cuttlestones is now welcoming consignments for upcoming specialist and collectors’ sales. Anyone considering selling toys, collectables or pop-culture memorabilia is invited to get in touch for a free, no-obligation valuation via WhatsApp 07949 603872  or email valuations@cuttlestones.co.uk
