Cuttlestones lends support to local groups and charities

Posted on

Staffordshire auction house Cuttlestones has had a busy start to the year, working with numerous local groups and charities to help boost their fundraising efforts. From hosting charity valuation days through to giving interesting and informative talks, the Cuttlestones team is keen to help local groups wherever possible as MD and Head Auctioneer, Ben Gamble, says:

We know how tough it can be to find new angles for fundraising events or to source interesting speakers for group talks and we’re always keen to offer our services. This year we’ve already supported a number of great causes and are looking forward to a calendar packed with various events, fundraisers and talks for groups that range from charities to special interest societies. We can offer assistance in a number of ways; be it a full-blown charity auction, a special fundraising valuation day or simply giving interesting talks on a broad range of topics.

Recent events have included a valuation roadshow for Brewood Civic Society in February, talks for Penkvale WI, Brocton Golf Club Ladies Committee (in aid of Cancer research) and Stone Lions and a charity auction at a high profile ball hosted by Dina Lewis and friends at the Stafford County Showground to raise funds for several cancer charities.

Also in the calendar for 2011 are a valuation roadshow in Nantwich for Richmond Village retirement home on Saturday, 21st May, a charity auction for Stafford Grammar School on the 11th June and a property auction on behalf of Keys Estate Agents on Thursday, 16th June. Ben will also return to the ever-popular Staffs Air Ambulance Ball at the County Showground on Saturday 8th October, where he will once again conduct the charity auction.

Some groups are already booking their slots for 2012, with events in the pipeline for the Staffordshire branch of The Art Fund, a charity auction for Save the Children and talks for various WI groups.
