Charity quiz to test general knowledge in aid of Katharine House Hospice

Posted on

Quiz fans will get the chance to test their knowledge whilst raising funds for a worthy cause this month, as local auction house Cuttlestones hosts a charity quiz to raise funds for Katharine House Hospice. Part of the company’s drive to raise £10,000 for the charity during 2012 the quiz will take place at Penkridge’s Peace Memorial Hall in Pinfold Lane on the evening of Wednesday, 25th April.

While the quiz will have a distinct general knowledge theme, there will be a nod to Cuttlestones’ antiques trade in the form of a special ‘bonus’ round where teams will be asked to guess the identity of mystery antiques for the chance to bag extra points. However, those who don’t know their Chippendale from their Clarice Cliff needn’t worry as Cuttlestones’ Client Manager Rosie Blackburn, who will be quiz master for the evening, says:

At Cuttlestones we all love a good quiz, so thought what better way to boost our fundraising efforts for Katharine House Hospice than to host one of our own where teams can test their general knowledge and have fun. And there’s no need to worry about the ‘mystery antiques’ round – these objects are so strange that even keen antique-hunters are unlikely to have come across them before, so a good measure of common sense and pot luck will be as useful! All in all, it’s an opportunity to have some fun while raising funds for this very worthy cause.”

The quiz will start at 7pm with a buffet and licensed bar providing ample refreshment. Tickets are priced at £5 per person, including buffet, and teams up to 6 people are invited to join in the fun. Space is limited, so call 01785 714905 to book your team’s place.
