TWO HALLMARKED SILVER PURSES, the first a leather lined example, Birmingham 1916, maker's mark 'F.D.L', with engine turned design and vacant cartouche, the snap fitting opening to reveal a fitted two compartment leather interior, W 11 cm, the second rectangular in form, stamped 'Sterling 2709', maker's mark is that of R.Blackington & Co from North Attlebro, Massachussetts 1862 to 1967, with scrolled engraving to the front with later applied vacant cartouche, the press button catch reveals two compartments and a third with a safety catch, W 7.75 cm, approx. total weight 150 g (2)
